Peace be upon you all

First and above all we should welcome the return of Allteb forums. With our best wishes for Allteb to achive even more success.

Then I'm presenting you a small piece of suggestion , the latter is summarized in making this page a destination for our inquiries and questions in the aspect of medical basic sciences , where we can ask, discuss with , and answer each other in such a constructive open talk.

Discussion is of the greatest importance in deepening our understanding , criticism and analysis.

Therefore it's an invitation to all my dear 2nd year colleagues to share us their questions , opinions and visions for the sake of achieving benefits to all of us .

Waiting for your generous participation and the so-called beneficial interaction

Best regards

Dear 2nd year colleagues
Peace be upon you all

Firstly I wish you are all healthy and leading a happy life . Then let's start our first episode in the series of 2nd year open discussions.

It's an inquiry after motor descending tracts and more specifically the descending cortico-spinal tract.

The fibers of such tract arise from the primary motor cortex ( 30%) , Premotor areas (30%) and Somatosensory area 1 and somatic association areas (40%) .

Those fibers arising from the motor and premotor cortical areas exert a motor function represented in initiation of precise discrete movements of the distal limbs , additionally they are responsible for gross movements of the axial and proximal muscles .

This denotes the role played by the motor and pre-motor cortices, so what about the role played by the somato-sensory area 1 and sensory association areas which give the larger origin for the cortico-spinal tracts 40%

Why do cortico-spinal tracts take an origin " the broadest one " from the somatosensory area 1 and sensory association areas eventhough these tracts are descending motor tracts

One more thing in this concern is that the fibers of cortico-spinal tracts terminate not only on the anterior horn cells of the spinal cord ( AHCs ), but a considerable fraction of the fibers terminate on the posterior horn cells (PHCs) as well, despite the fact that the latter cells ( PHCs ) are basically asscociated with the sensory and not the motor division of the nervous system ,

Do you think why this fraction end on PHS of the spinal cord , what could be their end-function

Those are two puzzling issues challenging my mind , I hope any of my colleagues to provide answers or share us an open discussion aiming at getting the clue

Waiting for your generous participation and spicy opinions

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
:wfk:

Yours
zika

Dear 2nd year colleagues
Peace be upon you all

I hope you are all fine and having luxurious times

I've a question about " Thyroiditis , a generl term for inflammation of thyroid gland ", In such one case the early manifestation is hyperthyroidism and later hypothyroidism is a feature.

What causes the former " Hyperthyroidism"and what causes the latter " Hypothyroidism ", in case thyroiditis
I do think that hypothyroidism occurs due to thyroid cell damage caused by the inflammation process , and the subsequent drop in the level of thyroid hormones gives arise to symptoms of hypothyroidism

But what about the earlier occurring hyperthyroidism

Waiting for you opinions 1stly on my previous C.N.S question and then my question asked this occasion

Please don't be so late
More activity is needed

Best luck

Yours
zika

Do you think why this fraction end on PHS of the spinal cord , what could be their end-function

Why do cortico-spinal tracts take an origin " the broadest one " from the somatosensory area 1 and sensory association areas eventhough these tracts are descending motor tracts

فللاسف رغم اني دورت كتير ملقتش اجابه فلو ف حد من الدكاتره الكبار يردوا علينا يبقي ممتاز
